January 28, 2003

The location for our meeting was at the Summit Brewery in St. Paul .Our contact there was Mark Karason thanks for hosting. The Meeting was called to order at 8:00 PM. The past president Andy Anderson

Installed the new board and swore them into office for the next two years. Introduction of the Board is President Frances J Jedneak CEC, Vice-President Chris Dwyer CEC, Treasurer James Lund CSC, and Chapter Secretary Steven Schuster CEC.

Frankie calls the meeting to order and called for committee reports. Robin Johnson spoke on the junior members they have had their election and installed the officers. They have three fund raiser on the book for this year. March 24 and 25 is their first one which will take place at HTC North. They also have a catering off sit in May of 2003. Juniors will be meeting the second Sat.of each month .

Chef Bo reported on the Chef and Child Function we did on Dec. 14th at the Mc Knight Center. We made a great number of kids happy with the meal served and the making of ginger bread houses. Along with Santa and all the gifts.

Jeff La Beau talked about the schedule of fund raiser on the calendar for this year. With the first one is Romance Feb. 14, 03 at the downtown Millennium Hotel. We will have silent auction and almost 30 chef and student participating. The event starts at 7pm.

Andy Anderson gave his report regarding UP SHOW ACF Sanctioned Competition. Many members are competing and we are ready. All the arrangements for the judges are in place and it will be a good competition this year.

Tom Berg By-laws and Amendments the changes were read with discussion and a voted on and

Passed. I will type the amendment and in the bold lettering is how the by-law reads.

This amendment will fall under ARTICLE V : RENIVAK IF OFFICERS. THIS WILL BE KNOWN AS

Article V amendment “A”. This article will refer to elected officers and will read in addition to the wording in the current article.

Any chapter elected officer that has a grievance filed against them will go directly to the NATIONAL ETHICS COMMITTEE. This will not be handled at all in any way shape or form by the local

Chapter or any committee here with in. The officer and chapter, must abide by the decision what ever it may be from the National Committee. All appointed officers will be handled by

ARTICLE V amendment ‘B”

ARTICLE V amendment “B” – MEMBER –ETHICS GRIEVANCE, which will override ARTICLE V, and will read:

It must be known to ALL ACF/MINNEAPOLIS CHAPTER members that we will have a ZERO TOLERANCE for any sexually or offensively type behavior at any and all ACF functions, local, regional or national. 1/28/03 A&B.

Frankie let everyone know that Jeff La Beau is running for regional Chef of the Year great job meeting all the requirements.

Pat Conway made a motion that we adjourn seconded by Chuck Duberstein the time meeting ended was 9:08 PM
