MINUTES FOR THE ACF MINNEAPOLIS CHAPTER
MARCH 26, 2002
--Meeting called to order at 7:50 PM.
-- We would like to thank our host Mark Good, Kemps Bryan Pink and Chef AL
for the education part and Sysco for the food.
-- Self-intros were done.
-- Motion made to accept the Minutes Accepted by Scott B., seconded by Pat
Conway. Approved.
--COMMITTEE REPORTS
-- Membership---Mark is planning a Guest month. More details to come.
--Certification--More books are coming. Check the Web site or contact Bruce to get them.
--AAC-- Two will go in at Nationals in July. Mike S. and Carlo C.
--By Laws--- No report
--Junior members--- Robin Johnson has agreed to be the liaison for the Juniors. They have a spot for meetings at the Kitchen of Opportunity for them to use. We need input from the Juniors as to what they would like to see for educational topics.
-- Scholarship-- The money has not yet been transferred. The tax number was wrong. It has been resubmitted.
--NEW BUSINESS
--Elections will be held this year. Nominations open in August. These are 2 year terms. They will be open for 3 months and then ballots will be sent out 7 days after they close.
--OLD BUSINESS
- Candace childers from the ACF Accreditations was here. Robin gave her a tour .
--UP Show -- Medals are ordered and will be given out as soon as they come.
-- The Culinary Encounter in Cuba is still in the works.. We are waiting to hear back from Victor on new information. We are still setting up guidelines for this.
-- Regional Conference-- the team is ready to go. All the money has been raised. Jeff issued a challenge that if the win he will give $500 to them for Nationals.
-- A TV set was purchased for the Kitchens of Opportunity.
--Next meeting will be at the Faribault Country club with a tour of the AMA Bleu Cheese Caves. By to the club by 6:30 PM.
