Minutes of the ACF Meeting

October 30, 2001

Meeting was called to order at 8:05 PM.

We would like to thank Theo and Robin Johnson for hosting the meeting at the

Kitchen of Opportunity.

No self Intros.

Motion to accept the minutes. Accepted by Chuck, seconded by Bo.

We discussed our 2 fund raisers that were held. Both were deemed a success.

We decided that next year committees will be in place to help with the

events.

OLD BUSINESS

The chef of the Year Dinner will be held at Rush Creek. It will be hosted by

Jim Lund. It will be held at the regular meeting date. It will be of

minimal cost and spouses can come.

NEW BUSINESS

The UP show will be held February 3-5. There will be hot food competitions

and Junior Competitions. The Junior team chosen will represent the chapter

in April at Lake Geneva.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

AAC-- We hope to induct two from this chapter and one from the Arrowhead

chapter this year. The two form here will be Carlo Castagneri and Mike

Strommer. The other will be Paul Madsen form Duluth. Good luck guys!!

REPORTS

Member retention is one topic we will be focusing on this next year. We need

to bring in more active members and keep them. We need to decide what we can

provide by way of education and certification to keep people from leaving.

NEW

Romance at Rosemount will be upon us soon. We need to get the ball rolling

on this. It will be Thursday, February 14. There will be a Silent Auction

and other fascinating things going on. Contact Jeff L. or Chris D. with

auction items or for tickets.

A motion to adjourn was made. Accepted by Scott, seconded by Chuck. The

meeting was adjourned at 9:05 PM
