Minutes of A.C.F. Minneapolis Chefs
Meeting 3/27/2001

---Thank you R&W Foods ( Rich and crew) for hosting the meeting and the meal they furnished. for us.
---Meeting was called to order at 8:07 PM.
---Self-introductions were made.
---Motion was made to accept the minutes as published on the web. Accepted by Pat Conway, seconded by Chuck D.
---COMMITTEE REPORTS
    We need to have improvements in the way our committees are being done. We are open for suggestions.
    Membership--We need to offer more of a hook to retain and get members We need some ideas on how to do this. Mark Good heads this committee.
    Junior member Chairs- Jeff LaBeau and Rob Yount   The Junior members are doing very well and their numbers are growing.
    Competition Chair -Tom Berg     We want to get a Salon and other events going. We will be seeking support from our purveyors and also other chapters for this.
    Certification-Bruce Schafer     His goal is to certify 8 people this year.  Let's help him reach his goal.
     American Academy of Chef-Bo will be inducted this year in Las Vegas.  As of now we only have ten members in the Academy.
     By-Laws--New by-laws should be ready soon.
---OLD BUSINESS
    We need to put a committee together for fund raising. One or two can't do it all.
    "Thank you's" are being finished for Romance at Rosemount.
    Make sure we have the right E-mail addresses.  Too many are not right.
    The Junior teams will be competing at the Central Region Conference April 5-8.
     We have hot food and a Knowledge bowl team. Wish them luck.
---NEW BUSINESS
  - Bo is not running again for the national ethics committee. He is putting Tom Bergs name in nomination.  Tom has accepted the nomination. April 23-28 Steve Schuster is looking for a few good men (and ladies) to help at Convention Center for the International Culinary Professionals conference. If interested contact Steve.
     Motion was made to adjourn.
