Minutes-Jim Lund C.E.C-Vice President. States that the minutes are posted and are here for anyone to review.

Vice President Jim Lund asks for committee reports: Fund raising Committee:
Paul Booth, “We are meeting on June 1st to talk about a fundraiser kind of similar to helping paws and we will be having it at the Double Tree Hotel.
Membership Committee: Nothing new to state.
Student/Junior & Scholarship/Sponsorship Committee: Jim Lund vice president talks about a new program for the twin cities Jr. organization. Which will be meeting at the Cordon Bleu May 28th and Classic Provisions will be doing a cheese showcase. June 28th there will be a meeting with The Minneapolis Chapter and St. Paul Chapter to see if we can get more Jr. Members and what we have to do to plan for the future. “If the Culinary schools are committed to the ACF then we will be giving scholarships.
Certification: Chris Dwyer states that the practical exam is scheduled for Monday May 5th at Hennepin Technical College, Brooklyn Park. The Practical is full and the next testing will be June 23rd. Contact Chris Dwyer for more information.
Correspondence Committee: Justin Given and Chris Dwyer. “Nothing New”
Website: Jim Lund, as always we give extra-continued education minutes for hosting the meetings. We also have some new scholarship forms and will be ready for download by next months meeting.
Are You Really ACF- David Eisenreich and Pat Conway.
Steve Venne states that all the awards are displayed at Art Institute.
Competitions- Steve Venne states that we are looking for help December 13th at the Cordon Bleu for the student competition. There are no new competitions except out of state for the chef’s. “We need to contribute as a chapter.” Both Steve Venne and Tom Berg suggest keeping the judges her for and extra day through the 14th.
Chef and the Child: Mark Good thanks Chef Virgil for hosting the meeting at Oak Ridge. There is a bit more information on Chef and Child posted on the website. We will be doing the Child Hunger day again are in the process of getting more information. It looks like Cub Foods and General Mills will be the sponsor’s again.
By-Laws and Elections- Tom Berg, nominations are in August, September and October.
AAC- Tom Berg and Carlo Castagneri. Both Tom Schwibber and Robert Anderson is getting Nominated into The American Academy of Chefs.
Historian- Frances Jedneak and Steve Schuster. Nothing new to state.
Old Business- Steve Venne States that we just a thank you letter and $100 to Hennepin Technical college for the help during the Golden Fork. Chris Dwyer States that if anyone is interested in donating money to the national family tree he has more information.
New Business- We are looking for people to help out for the PSP Home game for the homeless- needing help July 17th and 18th. Prep will be on the 17th and on the 18th we have to be at the dome by 4:30 or before.
