Guest Chef Day at Kid’s Café:

Hours: 3:00 pm-7:00pm

 

Dinner Served: 5:30 pm (65 ppl.)

 

Uniform: Black or check chef pants, chef shirt or coat, hat, apron

 

Time line: 3:45-4:15 grades k-3 kids, 4:15-5:30 grades 4-6 kids

Plan I: Donate a meal and teach and direct the kids in prepping and cooking the meal

Portion sizes- 2-4 oz protein, 2 servings of fruit or vegetables equaling ¾ cup, plus the equivalent of one slice of bread of a carbohydrate.

 

Plan II: Teach to the kids a skill of your choice to be combined with the evening meal

 

Days: Tuesday or Friday

 

Assistants: no more than two!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

CRITERIA:

·        Act professional you represent Acf. Mpls. Chapter, your employer and a guest at kid’s café

·        Help Chef Dan and staff with the clean up and Dishes

·        Notified Chef Dan 10 days in advance with your menu or Plan with equipment needs for that day (check w/ Chef Dan about safety issues) keep in mind you’re dealing with kids age 5-12!!!!!!!!!!!

·        Keep in mind you have 2 hour window and your dealing with kid’s

·        Choose a your tools and skill that is age appropriate for the kids

·        Chef Dan and Mark Good ask you to consider, different Ethnic Cuisine or Holiday themes meals.  This is ultimately your choice.

                                   

If you need to Cancel!

·        First find a replacement yourself

·        Second contact Mark Good and Chef Dan with the replacement person and what that person is doing. (minimum of  5 working days)

CHEF DAN’S FIRST PRIORITY IS THE SAFETY OF THE CHILDREN, AND HAS THE AUTHORITY TO IMPLEMENT AND ENFORCE RULES THAT ARE SUPPLEMENTED AT KID’S CAFÉ!
